I bought this in May after having to recharge my battery because I left a GPS unit plugged into the cigarette lighter socket for 3 days, and it drained the battery.I finally had to use the GB40 today, because the car wouldn't start. It was as simple as pie. I connected the cable with the clips to the unit, connected the cables, pressed the button that checks whether the connection is correct and started the car. No waiting for a full charge, a tow truck, or for someone to come by with jumper cables.I have a Chevy Avalanche w/a 5.3Liter V-8 and it was no problem. Turns out it was the battery, which was 6+ years old. It saved me a lot of time getting going. I find it well worth the cost.

I have owned the gb40 for a couple of months now and after charging it I removed the battery from my little dodge with a 2.2 4cyl and it fired my car right up. Then I put a very week and under sized battery in my diesel truck (5.9) the starter would just click. I connected the gb40 waited about 30 seconds and fired up my truck, it cranked a little slow but worked. That's way more that it is rated to do. Just today the battery in our trans am was totally dead and again it worked. I will recharge it now but it still shows 75%. Very happy with this unit.

Was going to order a cheaper jumpstarter but I figured I would invest in one that I thought would last. I ended up having to use this on a on a car I bought from the auction. The battery was so dead that we had to jump the alternator with jumper cables and used the override setting on the NOCO in place of the dead battery. We got the car started and I drove it home which took about 10 mins.That was my first experience and I've had it for about 5 days. It's pretty compact, the clamps are a good quality and the light is more useful than the iPhones. I also like how you can charge it up while plugged into a car.

Haven't had to use them yet but they seem to be built well. Charges with micro usb. Has a dead battery option where you can override the safety feature that detects the battery and polarity which is very important if you are trying to jump a completely dead battery, then this will jump it (granted have to leave it sit and charge the battery for a bit). Overall seem to be nice lithium jump starters, we'll see how they hold up in a Wisconsin winter, they have not been through a winter yet. I have reminders to charge these about once a month so they don't drop and ruin the batteries.

I bought this as a gift for my wife. This has saved my wife so many times. Too often one of the kids will leave a dome light on in the car, and she ends up somewhere with a dead battery. No problem. This comes out of the back of the car, and in a couple of minutes the car is running again. She also takes it with her to athletic events that go on and on all day. She can plug her mobile devices into this and never run out of juice on her phone. She still, months later, periodically stops to tell me what a great gift this has been for her. I'm sorry that I can only offer five stars.
