The one I tried was tasty. Not too dry and yes these are very sweet and high in fat. They are energy bars meant for emergency situations when you need lots of calories to sustain you. If your worried about them not being healthy then you don't understand the point.

This product arrived on time and was double packaged to ensure no damage to the Mylar wrappers of the bars, which was awesome. I received six flavors which were pretty close to the picture (tropical fruit, cherry, raspberry, apricot, vanilla and lemon). I ate the tropical fruit bar, it had the consistency of a dense short bread. Wasn't too hard or too soft. There was barely a taste of tropical fruit in about every other bite but the bars natural flavor isn't bad either. I would definitely buy these bars again and recommend them for anyone looking to store long term in a get home/bug out bag. They would also be excellent for backpackers or hunting trips.

I am totally IMPRESSED with these bars. First I was surprised that these bars were so big! I was then surprised at the seal these bars had. These Millennium Energy Bars are vacuum sealed which prevents them from crumbling and falling apart. It also keeps them FRESH and FLAVORFUL!I originally got these because we do a lot of beach camping in the summer. Last summer while we were camping, someone forgot to put the lid on the cooler spoiling a lot of our food. We had to make the best of what we had left and although we learned about survival, it wasn't fun. I figure with these bars we will be assured of food that is ready to eat! We will be ready for the next time that happens.Not being able to resist, I tore into the coconut bar first. Honestly, if you like coconut, you will find it quite good. The bar is on the hard side which I like! Half way through the bar, I was getting that full feeling. These bars are very filling.These bars also came with Survival tips! This is a wonderful pamphlet to read and keep in your survival kit. It has tips for cleaning water, starting firs and just surviving!All in all, these bars are good until 2021, so keeping these around just makes sense! They taste great, last a long time and are well sealed to preserve freshness. I needed some shelf stable food for my car's new emergency kit and was excited to add the Millennium Bars. Over the last 20+ years, I have used these bars in 72 hr kits for both home and work in Arizona and Utah. They are not affected by heat, have a long shelf life (5 years), come in a variety of flavors, and small pouch sizes. I have four children now mostly grown. As anyone knows kids can be picky. Between all the flavors offered, I figured they would each be able to find something they'd like. Which is particularly important in an emergency. I also like the smaller size so if one is opened, the rest of your emergency rations don't need to be used asap. I received these the beginning of March 2021 and they have an expiration date of 11/2025. I love fix it and forget it emergency prep!

Tastes decent and gets the job done. Didn't kill me and kept me relatively full for a half day. I'll try one at the expiration date and adjust review if necessary.
